Our Journey

InDe Spaces was founded in March 2021, when Rakshanda and Shamika decided to take a leap of faith and set up their own interior design firm. Embarking on this journey in the midst of the pandemic was no easy feat but their relentless attitude along with their passion put InDe Spaces on the roadmap to success.

Their vision was simple: to craft beautiful and functional spaces while embracing sustainable design practices. They aim to create environments that resonate with individual lifestyles. Their client-centric approach has not only garnered appreciation but has also forged meaningful connections throughout their journey.

Together, Rakshanda and Shamika, bring a dynamic synergy to the table, pooling their expertise and insights to curate spaces that leave a lasting impact.

Shamika Gogte

Co-founder and Principal designer

After completing her graduate degree in 2017 from BNCA, Shamika interned with Ar. Ashish at Jonquil design studio for 3 months. She then joined Ar. Vidyut Khare at Indesign, where she worked for two years. Coming from a family of business owners, she knew she wanted to become one herself.

After gaining experience and exposure, Shamika and her college friend, Rakshanda decided to take a leap of faith and embark on a business partnership. This led to the creation of InDe Spaces in 2021.

Being a nature lover, she is an outdoor person who is passionate about conservation and animal welfare. Her ideologies have always pivoted around sustainability and environmental friendliness. Against this backdrop, her aim is to develop creative and user-friendly ideas that positively impact the future.

Rakshanda Takawale

Co-founder and Principal designer

After graduating in 2017 from BNCA and working with two renowned design studios, Jonquil design studio and Imagination Inc, Rakshanda embarked on a transformative journey in the realm of interior design. Fueled by passion and creativity, she joined forces with her friend and peer, Shamika Gogte, to establish InDe Spaces in 2021.

Rakshanda believes that every design tells a unique story and draws inspiration from diverse influences such as nature and music. Her approach reflects a fusion of contemporary trends and timeless elegance.

She is an enthusiast of animals and nature, passionately aspires to travel and embraces each opportunity head on. With an insatiable appetite for reading, she immerses herself in books and can often be found either indulging in a meal or enjoying a leisurely nap with her cat, Mau.
